We love to see the incredible things the Ascend to ZERO community creates.
Your videos, livestreams, mods, artwork, cosplay, guides, fan sites, memes, discussions, and other creations help make the world of Ascend to ZERO feel bigger, deeper, and more alive. Creators remain at the heart of our community.
These guidelines are here to help you understand what is okay when creating fan content using Ascend to ZERO. Our goal is to give you room to express your creativity while protecting the game, the community, and the people who make and enjoy it.
These guidelines apply when you use any Ascend to ZERO characters, creatures, story, logos, music, art, videos, assets, or other parts of the game, outside the game itself.
What Do We Mean When We Say “Content”
If you make something that uses Ascend to ZERO IP, including e.g. anything recognizable from Ascend to ZERO, we call that “content” in these guidelines. That includes things like:
Fan art, videos and livestreams, mods, screenshots and edits, guides and tutorials, community websites, cosplay, memes, and other creative projects using Ascend to ZERO or Ascend to ZERO IP.
What Do We Mean When We Say “Ascend to ZERO IP”
“Ascend to ZERO IP” refers to the intellectual property of and related to Flyway Games’ Ascend to ZERO
Your Creator Permission
We are happy for you to create, upload, share, and use fan content for non-commercial purposes. However, please follow these guidelines.
Unless we give you written permission, please do not make, sell, or distribute merchandise using Ascend to ZERO IP.
You are responsible for all of the content that you create. That means making sure that your content follows these guidelines, the law, the rules of the platform where you post it, and the rights of other people or companies.
Your original creativity is yours.
You own the original parts of the content that you create. For example, your commentary, artwork, edits, jokes, opinions, and other original creative expressions are yours (excluding any Ascend to ZERO IP). At the same time, the Ascend to ZERO IP still belongs to Flyway Games.
We love to see ideas, feedback, suggestions, and creative work from the community. However, sharing an idea or creating fan content does not give you ownership of Ascend to ZERO IP. It also does not mean that we owe you compensation if something that we make in the future is similar to something previously shared by the community.
Sometimes similar ideas may already be in development, or may naturally come from exploring the same world and themes.
You should also make sure that your content follows the laws and rules where you create it and where you share it. Your content should not violate anyone else’s rights.
If you use someone else’s music, artwork, brand, video, voice, or other material in your content, it is your responsibility to get permission before including it.
Creating and Using Mods
Mods are fan-created gameplay changes, customizations, or similar projects that use or interact with Ascend to ZERO game content or systems. Due to their unique nature, mods have specific guidelines, so this section explains how they work.
You may create and use Mods where they are supported and permitted by Ascend to ZERO, these guidelines, and the rules of the platform you are using.
To help keep the game and community safe, Mods must not:
Mods may not be sold, licensed, or commercially exploited unless we have given written permission. Any creator revenue related to Mods must follow the monetization rules in these guidelines.
Any Mods are also subject to the rules and guidance outlined in the section related to working with AI tools.
Ascend to ZERO IP still belongs to Flyway Games or their affiliates, including when it appears in or is used by a Mod. Questions about ownership of other parts of a Mod, such as original code or assets created by the modder, and other terms (e.g. related to not harming others), are covered by the Ascend to ZERO Terms of Service and License Agreement and any additional modding guidance we may share through official channels.
Avoid Sharing Unauthorized or Leaked Information
Please do not share confidential, leaked, or unauthorized information about Ascend to ZERO if it was obtained outside of the current public build of the Ascend to ZERO client and game files.
Do Not Present Your Content as Officially Endorsed
Please do not present your content in a way that makes people think it is (1) official Ascend to ZERO content, (2) endorsed by us, or (3) created in partnership with us unless we have agreed to that in writing.
You may use the Ascend to ZERO name, logos, or other recognizable marks to discuss Ascend to ZERO in your content. Please do not use them in a way that suggests we sponsor, endorse, or are officially connected to your content unless we have given written permission.
Help Keep the Community a Welcoming Place
Please do not create or share Content that attacks, demeans, harasses, or promotes hatred or violence against people based on things like race, ethnicity, skin color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, disability, or any other protected or vulnerable status.
Ascend to ZERO is for explorers. Help us make the community a place where people feel welcome to dive in.
No Hate Speech, Threats, or Harassment
Please do not use Ascend to ZERO IP in content that includes hate speech, threats, bullying, targeted harassment, or calls for violence.
This includes content aimed at players, creators, developers, community members, or any other person or group.
Avoid Political Uses
Please do not use Ascend to ZERO IP to promote political campaigns, parties, candidates, legislation, or public advocacy positions.
Also, please do not use Ascend to ZERO IP in a way that could make people think Flyway Games or their affiliates support a political view, campaign, or cause.
Working With AI Tools
We understand that creators may use AI-powered tools as part of their creative process, and that is generally fine when making fan content, as long as the result follows these guidelines.
That said, please do not use Ascend to ZERO IP in the following ways without written permission from us:
You remain responsible for any content you create with the help of AI tools, including making sure it follows these guidelines, the law, and the rights of any third parties whose material may have been used to train or as inputs for the tools you rely on.
Keep Content Ascend to ZERO-friendly
Please keep content using Ascend to ZERO IP appropriate for the game’s age rating and intended audience.
Content that is sexually explicit, graphically violent, or otherwise adult-oriented may be outside the waters of what is acceptable under these guidelines.
Creating and Monetizing Fan Content
You may create and share fan content for non-commercial purposes.
We also understand that many creators earn revenue through normal creator platforms. The following limited forms of creator revenue are generally allowed, as long as your content follows these guidelines:
What is Not Allowed
Please do not use the Ascend to ZERO IP in the following ways unless we have given written permission.
1. Promoting another company’s game, product, or service
Please do not use Ascend to ZERO IP in sponsored ads, paid promotions, branded integrations, or similar content, that promotes another person’s, company’s, or your, game, product, or service without written permission.
2. Selling Ascend to ZERO fan content as a standalone product
Please do not sell, license, package, or distribute content using Ascend to ZERO IP as a standalone commercial product without written permission.
This does not stop creators from earning the limited creator revenue outlined above, as long as the content follows these guidelines.
3. Feature films, TV, Web Series, or Similar Productions
Please do not use Ascend to ZERO IP in a feature film, television, web series, streaming series, or similar audiovisual productions without written permission.
You also may not license, sell, assign, or otherwise give a third party the right to use Ascend to ZERO IP in those kinds of productions.
For example, this applies to projects with traditional film studios, streaming services, independent production companies, or similar productions, whether distributed through theaters, streaming services, websites, or user-generated content platforms.
4. NFTs, blockchain, and tokenized assets
Please do not mint, sell, distribute, trade, airdrop, or otherwise tokenize content using Ascend to ZERO IP as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), blockchain-based collectibles, cryptocurrency-linked assets, or similar tokenized goods.
This also includes incorporating Ascend to ZERO IP into smart contracts, on-chain metadata, in-game token economies, or other blockchain-based systems, whether or not the token has commercial value.
Staying in Safe Waters
We love seeing creators dive deeper into Ascend to ZERO and share their discoveries, stories, and adventures with the community.
These guidelines are here to help everyone navigate fan creation in a way that respects other players, creators, the community, and Ascend to ZERO IP.
If your things start to drift outside these guidelines, we may reach out to help you get things back on course.
In more serious situations, or when something cannot be resolved, or violates the TOS we may need to take additional steps to protect the community and Ascend to ZERO IP. This may include asking a platform to remove content or taking other appropriate action.
As the Ascend to ZERO community continues to grow, we may update these guidelines from time to time.

We may update or suspend these Fan Content Creation Guidelines at any time. As the owner of the Ascend to ZERO IP (including all works derived from it) we, reserve the right to restrict use of Ascend to ZERO IP when reasonably necessary. The content creation rights and permissions we are giving you here are limited and revocable. We do not warrant or promise that Ascend to ZERO is fit for use in all projects you create.
